Listen to La Poche Gastrique

La Poche Gastrique is the idea of two surgeons passionate about bariatric surgery, aiming to reach more patients and healthcare professionals while raising awareness among the general population.

Obesity is a widespread, complex, chronic, and recurrent disease whose patients are subject to prejudices and stigmas contributing to the associated morbidity and mortality. Treatments must be based on the science of chronic disease management, beyond the simplistic "eat less and move more" approach. There are numerous evidence-based interventions, including medical nutritional therapy, physical activity, psychotherapeutic approaches, pharmacotherapy, and surgery.

These informative capsules are scientifically supported by the Canadian Association of Bariatric Physicians and Surgeons, with production supported by Ethicon. The contributors perform this work voluntarily. Take the time to get informed!
